Purpose of the Exam:

The purpose of this exam is to provide organizations that use NiFi with a means of identifying suitably qualified staff to develop Data Flows, Manage, configure and secure NiFi clusters using the open-source tools of the Hortonworks Data Flow (HDF).


Exam Description:

The exam has three main categories of tasks that involve:

  • Data Flow Design
  • Cluster Management
  • Security and Configuration Management

The exam is based on the Hortonworks Data Flow 3.0 installed and managed with Ambari 2.5, which includes NiFi 1.2.0. Each candidate will be given access to an HDF 3.0 cluster along with a list of tasks to be performed on that cluster.

Description of the Minimally Qualified Candidate:
The Minimally Qualified Candidate (MQC) for this certification can develop DataFlows for ingesting, transforming, and analyze data flowing between systems using open-source tool of the Hortonworks Data Flow called Apache NiFi. Those certified are recognized as having high level of skill in NiFi flow development, Configuration, Cluster Management, Security and have demonstrated that knowledge by performing the objectives of the HDFCNA exam on a live HDF cluster.
